Our mission
TrustPolitics exists to make it as easy to look up your MP’s record as it is to look up a restaurant’s reviews. Voting history, expenses claimed, financial interests, parliamentary activity — all the public records that define how a Member of Parliament does their job — should be one search away from the voters they represent.
Every figure on this site comes from official UK government sources. We do not editorialise the underlying numbers. We clean, join and present them in formats designed for people who don’t spend their day navigating Hansard.
Who runs it
TrustPolitics is operated by Digital Platforms Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17087275). The site is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by UK Parliament, His Majesty’s Government, IPSA, the Electoral Commission, any political party, or any individual MP or Lord.
We are a small engineering team building public-data tools across several domains — political accountability, company records, news monitoring and product comparison. TrustPolitics is the political-accountability project in that family.
Editorial standards
- Source first. Every page links back to the original publisher (UK Parliament, IPSA, the Electoral Commission, ONS) so readers can verify any figure against the upstream record.
- No invented numbers.Where we present a derived metric — such as the Activity Efficiency Score — the formula is published in full and uses only fields that exist in the source data.
- Corrections welcome.If you spot a figure that looks wrong, the most likely cause is an upstream change we haven’t re-synced yet. Use the contact form with the URL and field and we will check the original source within a few working days.
- Equal treatment across parties. The same metrics, rankings and editorial framing are applied to every MP regardless of party affiliation.
- Clearly labelled opinion.Where we publish editorial commentary, it is presented as opinion based on the underlying public data, not as statement of fact about an individual’s character.
How the site is funded
TrustPolitics is supported by advertising. We display a partner-site ad strip on most pages, and we display contextual display ads from independent ad networks. We do not take payment from political parties, candidates, lobbyists or campaigning organisations of any kind.
Advertisers have no editorial influence. They cannot remove, re-order or downplay coverage of any individual MP, and they cannot influence how the Activity Efficiency Score or any other ranking is calculated.
Where the data comes from
Every dataset behind the site is listed on our Data Sources page, with the upstream URL, what we use it for and how often we refresh it. The full data licensing position — including how we handle the personal-data exemption to the Open Parliament Licence — is set out there and on the Privacy Policy.

Data corrections, methodology questions, press enquiries and partnership requests all go through the contact form. If you are an MP, Lord or their representative and you believe a specific page contains a factual error, please flag it there and we will respond promptly.
