Long title
A Bill to place a duty on highway authorities and police forces to minimise congestion and delays caused by collisions and other incidents on the highway; and for connected purposes
Summary
This Bill would extend the Network Management Duty of local highways authorities under the Traffic Management Act 2004. It would require local highway authorities to: <br><ul><li>Minimise any congestion caused by collisions and other incidents on the highway </li><li>Ensure that such incidents were managed and cleared expeditiously </li><li>Make an annual report of such incidents, including the measures the authority took to mitigate them. </li></ul>
