My four amendments for the four countries are based on a tested technology: IKE Tech in America, whose information is the basis of these amendments, offers a solution that locks a vape until the user verifies their age. Initial verification set-up takes 90 seconds and, subsequently, unlocking on the occasions when someone is using the vape more frequently takes just six seconds. In testing for the US Food and Drug Administration—which I should say is in the process of looking actively at the introduction of this technology—100% of adults could verify their age, but no underage user could activate a device. The technology also allows geofencing; namely, making vape-free areas a possibility. The technology for geofencing can automatically disable devices near schools and youth centres, making vape-free areas effective.
