Thirdly, this instrument rationalises and corrects references and errors in the continuing airworthiness regulations arising from the 2019, 2023 and 2024 regulations. Although irregularities and inconsistencies in the regulations introduced by the errors have not caused a safety issue, the department acknowledges that the errors could mean that the industry finds it harder to follow the regulations as intended. The draft regulations therefore correct the errors to ensure clarity.
