That is why, to support businesses to make the most of these new apprenticeships, the Government will provide £2,000 to employers for every foundation apprentice they take on and retain in the industry. We are also offering a range of additional financial support, including £1,000 payments to employers where they hire apprentices under the age of 19. Specifically to pick up on the comments of the noble Baroness, Lady Wolf, the Government pay full training costs for young apprentices aged 16 to 21 and certain eligible apprentices aged 22 to 24.
