We are keen to continue working with Parentkind on the work it is doing to develop shared principles that will support mutual understanding between parents and schools around complaints. We expect to be able to say more about how we will improve the relationship between schools and parents, including how we will improve the schools complaints systems in the schools White Paper. I want to give reassurance that this is being taken exceptionally seriously, and the Secretary of State is fully engaged in how we move forward. We do not believe that introducing the First-tier Tribunal as an additional layer to the complaints system is the right way of achieving our aim to reduce burdens on schools.
