There is totally compelling evidence of the cost to society of such a lack of activity and physical education. Sport England’s recent findings demonstrate a clear link between physical activity and improved mental health. Active children report greater happiness, better emotional resilience and a stronger tendency to keep going when times get tough. Unsurprisingly, inactive children report directly the opposite.
