The noble Baroness was very generous to me. I am sure she and I spoke about filtering and monitoring; I definitely did work on this in the department when I was there. I thought I knew that we put it in the academy trust handbook—but I just looked as she was speaking, and I was disappointed to read that academies need to be working towards understanding and implementing the standards by 2030. I hang my head if I signed that off. I wonder whether there is something in the department’s commercial functions that could recommend a list of approved suppliers or whether high standards of security are just a kind of criteria for supplying these products to schools. It will be interesting to hear what the Minister suggests.
