I support the three amendments put forward and introduced so effectively by the noble Lord, Lord Curry. I accept what I think is his implicit view that Natural England does not necessarily know better. I certainly know every tree, every bit of wetland and every fence post on the land we farm. I doubt that anybody in Natural England has anything close to that knowledge, and I think that we could extrapolate that across most landholdings.
