I am saddened that the noble Lord, Lord Grayling, is not here this evening. I always enjoy it when he stands up to talk about hedgehogs; he is a fantastic champion of the species. It is easy to forget that these little creatures scuttle around for miles nocturnally. If there is not space within developments, particularly in urban areas, it is very difficult for them to get around. You can take very low-cost measures of making small spaces in fences to enable them to get around and do the breeding and feeding that they need.
