Planning and Infrastructure Bill

In addition to what the noble Lord, Lord Randall, said about swift bricks, these would be low-cost measures, not big-ticket items. It is disappointing that we have heard some developers say that this would add unacceptable costs when people need new homes. Of course people need new homes, but if the public, who are deeply attached to hedgehogs and other species, knew that, with the relatively small cost of making these adaptations, we would be building homes for nature at the same time as homes for people, I think the developers would find that people would be prepared to cover those small prices.
