Planning and Infrastructure Bill

Contribution

As we have heard, on Boxing Day, for some inexplicable reason, last Christmas, the Government quietly announced that they were stepping in to save the lifting of the curfew or the end date for this registration process. Are this Government committed to repealing the deadline to register these rediscovered rights of way? If they mean what they say—and I have no doubt that that is their intention—this Bill is the place to enshrine that promise. Will the Minister please confirm that they will adopt Amendment 213 or explain how else they wish to deal with it? It is easy to enact; all they need to do is to abolish the cut-off date for new registration. This is the Bill to do that.
