To help achieve that balance, there needs to be an annual report to Parliament of how much food-producing agricultural land has been lost each year to each of the four categories listed in my amendment: the construction of housing; the construction of reservoirs; the installation of solar panels; and the production of crops not for consumption but to generate electricity.
