I say all this because I believe that we are in serious trouble, not only on food production but on the other aspect of this amendment, which deals with water. In my part of the country, the local water company has just announced that it cannot provide any new connection for any business or extended business until 2036. We are talking about growth—what on earth are we doing not facing up to this? The only way that we will deal with that is to build a lot more reservoirs, but we should not do that without recognising what we lose when we do it. I am not asking us not to do it, but merely to be honest. That is why I very much support this amendment. It is an attempt to ask the Government to provide themselves and us with an ability to make choices, instead of having a situation in which we decide a whole series of disparate demands, get on with them and have no concern as to which fits in with what and how one is connected with another.
