Clause 69 establishes rules around the amount that can be charged under the nature restoration levy and the setting of rates. The levy regulations will have further detail as to exactly how these will be set, and the schedules are intended to provide clarity and transparency for developers as to the rates they will be charged to utilise an EDP, and will be subject to consultation. We have also provided for developers to have a right of appeal if they believe that the rate they are subsequently charged is incorrect.
