We are looking at a single lead regulator for major infrastructure projects in order to speed up approvals—concerns have been raised about that. We would revamp environmental guidance by identifying opportunities to remove duplication, ambiguity or inconsistency. We are looking to streamline permits and guidance to speed up work and put an end to delays that can slow down decision-making. We are looking at improving the planning permit portal by updating digital systems to speed up planning applications.
