The Bill already includes a requirement for Natural England to publish a mid-point report setting out whether an EDP is on course to meet the overall improvement test, and an end-point report setting out whether the overall improvement test has been met. Additional reporting requirements apply where an EDP is revoked. Given the existing reporting provisions already in the Bill and the ability for an EDP to have an end date earlier than 10 years following its being made, I hope that the noble Earl will agree to withdraw the amendment.
