They make provisions covering formaldehyde fumes, ventilation systems, indoor air quality, combustion appliances and flues. Other legislation, especially in the field of health and safety, offers protection for employees and members of the public, and complementary systems around the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations and the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals regime require risk assessment.
