Planning and Infrastructure Bill

Contribution

I signed this amendment tabled by the noble Baroness, Lady Jones of Moulsecoomb. I note that the noble Baroness, Lady Bennett of Manor Castle, is here as well and probably has a more extensive speech. To me, this comes back to the wider point about how we are pulling together land in order to maximise the amount of housing somewhat. It may be that we have different opinions on what the density should be, but I made the point recently when I was considering whether this sort of decision should be delegated to officers where planning applications have been made where the housing density is considerably lower than what had been agreed by councillors. It comes back to why this matters.
