Children’s Wellbeing and Schools BillContribution
As someone who has spent a large chunk of his life going around schools, I agree that, if you want to make a detailed assessment, you have to get in very close. But you can see if something is going wrong. As long as a child is being seen and is having educational contact with a proper professional from the local authority—if that is coming up with a tick—that child can be put in the “We think that’s all right” pile. The local authority can then focus on the children for whom it does not have that confidence and for whom it has real worries.
