Children’s Wellbeing and Schools BillContribution
We must not sacrifice foundational principles of parental primacy and family privacy on the altar of a superficially neat but ultimately counterproductive regulatory system. I urge the Government and the Minister to listen to these concerns and not merely tweak the edges of this scheme but rethink its entire balance. We need safeguarding that is smart, proportionate and genuinely risk led, not a universal presumption of parental inadequacy. This is how we will uphold both the welfare of children and the fundamental freedoms of families.
