Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill

Contribution

I come to the two amendments that I wish to support. Amendment 202C, from the noble Lord, Lord Frost, seems to me very straightforward. The children he refers to as being flexibly schooled are registered with a school and do not need to be double registered, as the noble Lord has said, on this new register as well as on their school registration, particularly as they are operating under the aegis of the head teacher of the school. Secondly, my noble friend Lord Meston’s amendment seems to have a lot of support in the Committee and to be very straightforward. Local authorities should know what is happening to children in their area and the amendment deserves our support.
