Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2025

Then, of course, the Home Secretary and, in this case, my honourable friend Dan Jarvis, the Security Minister, do not just sit there and say, “Oh, yes, fine. We’ve had all these recommendations. Let’s just accept them”. They do what any Government Minister does in any government department in any Government of this country. I can see former Home Office Ministers in the Chamber from His Majesty’s Opposition; they will have done the same process. They will sit down, test, challenge, argue and come to what this Government are giving today: a judgment on the evidence before them. This is not from their own personal prejudices but from the evidence before them.
