Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Amendment 479, also in the name of the noble Lord, Lord Sandhurst, suggests that the panel be given the power to require a local authority or an NHS body to do a report for the panel on issues of relevance. Again, this is neither necessary nor appropriate. Clause 17(4)(e) as drafted allows the panel to ask for a report from anyone with relevant information. One should not restrict this to either an NHS body or a local authority.
