Debate
Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
Amendment 474, again from my noble friend Lady Berger, proposes that the panel should consider hearing from a person’s family and other treatment or care provider. I think the norm should be that it should definitely consider whether it needs to hear from a person’s family and other treatment provider. I would very much hope that that is what it would do anyway. It has the power to do it in Clause 17(4)(e). It is a valid point, but I do not think it is necessary to amend the Bill in order to do that.
