Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Contribution

Amendment 924, proposed by the noble Baroness, Lady Grey-Thompson, suggests that where the patient is over 60, one of the panel must have expertise in elder abuse or safeguarding. It is an important thing for the panel to focus on but, again, I do not think it is necessary to put that in the Bill because the voluntary assisted dying commissioner has to have in place arrangements that would make it appropriate for the selection of the panel.
