Debate

Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Contribution

I am aware that it is taking a bit of time to sum up my comments, but this has been a huge group of amendments. My model would not isolate the patient at all; that is a complete misunderstanding and misreading. The proposal has been that the patient’s care would carry on and they would have their clinical team looking after them. As their wishes fluctuated in one direction or another, they would still get all the care that they need. In parallel to that, they could be assessed and receive lethal drugs if they wanted to.
