Investigatory Powers (Communications Data) (Relevant Public Authorities and Designated Senior Officers) Regulations 2025Contribution
The noble Lord, Lord Harper, mentioned the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and asked why the DVLA was not included. This may or may not be helpful, but the DVSA asked for it and the DVLA did not. There may be a discussion around whether “government” should be encouraging certain agencies to do so, but that is the position as of now. That is why one has, and one has not, been included. I hope that is of assistance to the noble Lord.
