My Lords, I would like to clarify something that the noble and learned Lord, Lord Falconer, said in response to my statement that assisted dying was not something that doctors could suggest in Australia. The website of the Department of Health, Victoria, states: “It is against the law for a medical or other health practitioner to suggest voluntary assisted dying as an end of life option to one of their patients. A medical practitioner cannot talk about voluntary assisted dying unless a person asks them about it first”. If I can take noble Lords to New Zealand—
