Debate

Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Contribution

We have talked before about how anybody who has a terminal condition is disabled, but you do not have to be disabled—it does not work the other way around. But the Department for Work and Pensions frequently links sick and disabled. Again, this is why disabled people are worried. We have to question our own biases in the Chamber and the biases of the system that disabled people will be going into. Groups of and for disabled people are not reassured by the words of the noble and learned Lord, Lord Falconer.
