Debate
Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) BillContribution
Like others, I thank the noble Baroness, Lady Monckton, for her speech. It is not easy to stand up and talk about something so personal. As a daughter and a mother, I find talking about my parents much easier than talking about my daughter. How can we live in a world where somebody with Down syndrome gets a clinical frailty scale of 7? What is going on with that? How can we live in a world where people are frightened to go to hospital because of what the doctor is going to say to them?
