Speaking in the House of Lords on 13 March 2026

Debate

Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

Contribution

In February 2025, in the Royal College of GPs’ polling, only 33.7% said that they would support the principle of assisted dying, and 47.6% said that they would oppose it. It is worth noting that surveys by the Pharmaceutical Journal revealed that while 54% of pharmacists support the principle of assisted suicide, this dropped to 38% when asked about the Bill.
