I was certainly pleased to see this point of co-operation on security and crime given prominence in the reset with the EU pursued by this Government. In that context of the trade and co-operation agreement and the pledge of just a few weeks ago to give it a boost and a bit of a kick-start, I propose that it makes sense to put a duty on the border commander to meet the executive director of Europol at least every six months to make sure that this pledge to better operationalise the co-operation provisions is given practical reality.
