The Government are subsidising Drax. There is talk—it is only floating in the ether at the moment—that Drax might be looking to form independent contracts with data centres around the country. So the Government could be setting out to empower the continuation of the burning of wood, which creates 18% more carbon dioxide emissions than do coal-fired power stations. The Government could be subsidising something to ensure that there is even more of that.
