I hope that the Minister can explain why, despite all this, the Government are providing free money to Drax. I am sure the Government are concerned about energy industry failures. There is unchecked profiteering. Wind farms are paid billions to turn off turbines and not produce electricity, because the UK does not have the infrastructure to transmit or store electricity. This free money has not benefited households or businesses. The UK has the fourth-highest electricity price in the world for households, and British businesses pay the highest electricity price in the developed world.
