I pay tribute here to Linda Reynolds—I think that she has just stopped being a senator—who took up this issue. She is an incredible woman. She took up the issue and has gone around the world with it. She forced legislative change in Australia and has taken it up with the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which, as a result, has issued a lawmakers’ guide to stopping orphanage trafficking and passed motions and resolutions to raise awareness. Linda Reynolds is the hero on this issue. She went to one of those orphanages and walked away saying, “This is not right. This does not feel like an authentic place. These children don’t seem to be being looked after. This is not something I want to support.”
