We are approaching the one-year anniversary of the Southport killings. The Dunblane killings led to changes in the law on the sale of guns. Southport should be the Dunblane moment for knives. I welcome Ronan’s law and the Government’s amendment to the Bill to impose enhanced age verification, but those amendments do not go far enough; more could and should be done.
