Very briefly, I will highlight an area in which this Bill will make a real difference. The right hon. Member for Chingford and Woodford Green (Sir Iain Duncan Smith) referred to new clause 5. Many residents of Kensington and Bayswater have contacted me about the dangerous and antisocial use of illegally modified e-bikes, especially by delivery drivers. That includes speeding, reckless pavement riding and off-road use. I am a cyclist—unlike the right hon. Gentleman, I am not a motorcyclist—and I support active travel and safe cycling, but what we are seeing is dangerous, and residents have had enough. As such, I am glad that the Bill will give the police the power to seize and destroy illegally modified e-bikes within 48 hours, building on powers that already exist under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2022.
