Perhaps the Minister can answer some questions on this. Surely the SI before us undermines the Government’s negotiating position in key areas such as enforcement and data quality. Is it not the case that these concerns risk creating an uneven playing field for operators, which impacts on customers in Northern Ireland in particular, as well as higher administrative burdens and market distortions? Can the Minister outline how the CBAM trade tax interactions work and provide an impact assessment to evidence the assertions by officials raised on the various scenarios to consider the specific concerns in Northern Ireland? Why is that not in the impact assessment today?
