It was under this last-minute political duress that the vote was taken, and it was quite clear that the Minister in Stormont referenced CBAM numerous times in his speech to the Assembly this week—in fact, the day before yesterday. The chair of the Northern Ireland committee which looked at this also spoke in Stormont. Reflecting on the many concerns raised by members of his committee, he said:
