279GA: Clause 149, page 147, line 16, at end insert— “(2) Subject to subsection (3), this section is repealed three years after the day on which it comes into force.(3) The Secretary of State may, following a full independent review of the operational impact of the section on tribunal efficiency and access to justice, by regulations made by statutory instrument provide that the provisions of this section are not repealed in accordance with this section but shall continue in force indefinitely.(4) The regulations in subsection (3) are subject to the affirmative resolution procedure.”Member's explanatory statement This amendment introduces a sunset clause to ensure that the extension of time limits for bringing employment tribunal claims is subject to periodic parliamentary oversight.
