Holocaust Memorial BillContribution
The noble Baroness, Lady Deech, made a point about costs being out of control. The Government advised the National Audit Office in March 2025 that forecast costs had increased to £146.6 million. The reasons for the increased forecast are: the delay to the programme; legal costs for the Holocaust Memorial Bill; provision for further construction inflation; provision for additional inflation on the rest of the programme; and additional design costs. It is deeply regrettable that delays to the programme have led to increased costs.
