Holocaust Memorial BillContribution
I understand that co-location was originally the idea and the dream, and I agree with that in principle. The problem is that if you co-locate in a rather narrow triangle of land with very limited space, you are faced with an obvious physical difficulty. How do you build in such a confined space a world-class learning centre that can do what the then Prime Minister’s Holocaust Commission spoke movingly and clearly about in its report of January 2015? Its aspiration is and was admirable, but if you compare that with the reality of what the learning centre planned to be built underneath the memorial would be able to deliver, it is night and day.
