Yet this weekend, the Prime Minister hosted big tech at Chequers, and again for dinner at Downing Street last night. Let us be utterly clear: it is right that the Government meet with all sorts of sector leaders. However, there was not so much as a note for the icons of the UK’s second-biggest industrial sector, while the US tech billionaires and their proxies have access to Ministers and the Prime Minister on tap.
