These amendments are designed to respond to the Government’s proposal to freeze the workplace bargaining unit and the right to participate in a ballot of those who join after the application date. They are changes to the 1992 Act’s Schedule A1, on collective bargaining recognition. That was a considered Act on the complicated matter of the balance to be maintained in law between employers, individual employees and trade unions.
