All these amendments seek to make kinship care work as well as possible in practice, recognise the strengths and weaknesses of family members and improve both the support and the process so that it delivers on the Government’s aspirations. I have made the noble Lord, Lord Ponsonby of Shulbrede, aware of these amendments, since I understand that they would overlap with his responsibilities in relation to the family justice system.
