Secondly, does the Minister agree that any review should take a comprehensive and forward-looking approach? Beyond the immediate question of fees, it should examine how digital casting platforms now operate across several key dimensions, including the transparency of platform practices and algorithms; data handling and performers’ rights over their personal information; equitable access to casting opportunities; and the growing influence of AI and algorithmic tools in shaping visibility, selection processes and outcomes.
