Thirdly, given the rapid pace of technological change in this space, will the Minister consider whether the review should assess whether our legal framework is sufficiently future-proof to address emerging challenges before they become entrenched? Yesterday’s AI and copyright debate highlighted the rapid changes taking place worldwide and the need to adapt accordingly. I am sure that the Minister will have read the interview in this week’s House magazine with Paul Fleming, the general secretary of Equity, highlighting the challenges that AI brings, including his astonishing claim that an estimated 30% of radio adverts are now AI-generated. I hope that the department’s future work on training data transparency will add this area to its long list of areas to examine. That feeds back to our earlier discussion, led by the noble Lord, Lord Clement-Jones, on the constitution of AI systems.
