Employment Rights Bill

Contribution

For heaven’s sake, this is getting ridiculous. Will the wording say “You also have the right not to join a trade union”? What if an employer puts in there, in addition to the things the Secretary of State has told them they must write in regulations—by the way, it would be very helpful if the Minister could tell us whether they are the affirmative of negative—that if you join and you have to go into the political union, thanks to the rights conferred by this, and you decide you do not want to be part of that then you may have to wait until next January to stop paying into the political union to a party you may or may not support?
