I also resent the suggestion that the Government are beholden to the big tech companies. The Secretary of State and all Ministers in the department are in regular dialogue with tech companies. Of course we are: this is our job. I have regular meetings with the tech companies on online safety. My colleagues, including my honourable friend Minister Bryant, are in constant dialogue with the creative sector. We have huge plans with the sector to take that work forward. We have a small and thriving UK tech sector, from which many people are working in collaboration with the creative sector. This is not about one side against the other but about trying to find a solution which will enable all those groups to thrive. That is what we are attempting to do.
